Mark Foster

Mark is a true local having been born, bred and educated in the area. After finishing his accounting Diploma at Tafe in 2000 he joined the team as a junior accountant. Mark continued his studies by distance education and within five years become a partner of the firm.

Mark is passionate about not just helping his clients receive outstanding taxation advice to give them the best result but also helping them understand what the final result means, and how to improve their business to achieve their future financial goals.

Driven by a genuine desire to help his clients, Mark’s client relationships are characterised by excellent service and attention. He continually keeps up to date with his knowledge of changing legislation and tax matters that may affect clients. His client involvement spans from individual clients right through to large national businesses as well as Self-Managed Superfunds.

Mark’s interests include Golf, swimming and gardening and he also loves travelling.

Stephen Welsh

Stephen has been involved in Public Practice since 1998 and became a Certified Practising Accountant in 2003. After working in firms in Newcastle and Sydney, Stephen moved to Coffs Harbour in 2009. Stephen has expertise in providing taxation advice, strategy and solutions to businesses of all sizes, individuals and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. He became a partner of the firm in 2020.

Stephen is ready to show business owners that accounting isn’t just about the bottom line – it’s about helping you your goals while keeping your feet firmly on the ground.

When Stephen isn’t busy crunching numbers, he enjoys spending time with his family. Otherwise you might spot him fishing off the Coffs Coast.

Tanya McManus

Tanya holds a Bachelor of Business Degree, majoring in Accounting and Finance, is a qualified CPA & CA and has a Diploma of Financial Planning. Tanya has been in public practice since 2003 has has expertise in Self-Managed superannuation funds, taxation and business advisory services across various industries and clients. Tanya became a partner of the firm in 2020.

Tanya is passionate about helping clients and being their trusted advisor. Tanya thrives on keeping up to date with industry changes and technological advancements.

Having moved to the Coffs Coast in the 90’s with her family, Tanya was taken with the magic of the region and enjoys a love of the ocean. This helped to cement her decision to make Coffs Harbour home and raise a family here. Outside of the office, she spends her time with the kids weekend sports, a relaxing beach walk and catching up with family and friends. 

Karen Napier

Karen has a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping & Finance and Certificate IV in Administration. Karen began her bookkeeping career working for TAFE NSW teaching MYOB and bookkeeping.

Karen joined the team at Clayton & Foster Accountants in 2003 in all areas of practice administration. Over the years Karen progressed in the firm and now provides assistance to clients with their bookkeeping requirements including setting up new accounting software files, training, payroll assistance and BAS preparation as well as providing full bookkeeping services with management of debtors and creditors. Karen is dedicated to her clients and enjoys helping them with all of their needs and enquiries.

Outside of the office Karen enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with family.

Sarah Spagnolo

Sarah joined the Clayton & Foster team in June 2016. As one of our valued accountants, Sarah brings 25 years of experience to the role and is a very diligent hard worker. With an Advanced Diploma of Accounting, Sarah works in all areas of accounting, including preparing tax returns, financial statements, and is at home working on companies, trusts, partnerships, and for individuals.

She enjoys the variety that her role entails and specialises in taxation compliance.

When not at work Sarah likes to listen to music, keep up to date with world news, or engage in a spot of shopping. In her downtime she enjoys walking and spending time at family BBQs.

Jason Bamford

Jason joined the CAFA team in July 2022, as a qualified Chartered Accountant. With a Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of IT, Jason is a proactive member of the team and enjoys assisting clients and using his problem solving skills to go the extra mile.

He is highly knowledgeable in his speciality areas of taxation and superannuation.

Outside of work you’ll find Jason enjoying an Aussie BBQ or listening to heavy metal music. Maybe even doing both of those things at the same time!

Liam Muggleton

Liam started with the team in January 2023. With a Diploma of Accounting from Southern Cross University, he is also working towards professional membership with the IPA.

His favourite part of his role is being able to problem solve and help clients to achieve the best outcome possible. He works in all areas of tax accounting but enjoy the challenges of working on SMSF’s and Companies.

Outside of work Liam enjoys camping and fishing. He has also recently been getting into golf.

Rosie Napier

Rosie started with Clayton & Foster Accountants in March 2022, and she brings 25 years of bookkeeping experience to the role. She is a qualified bookkeeper holding a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and is also Registered BAS agent. In her role she processes clients accounting transactions in their cloud based software, completes payroll, BAS, IAS, employee super lodgements, accounts payable etc. She covers all aspects of bookkeeping and is familiar with Xero and MYOB Accounting Programs.

Having lived in the Coffs Harbour area for the past 20 years, Rosie enjoys working with like minded people and the lovely modern work environment.

Outside of work you’ll find her enjoying time with her family and friends, hitting the road for a weekend away, or spending time with horses.

Jodi Gauci

Jodi has been with the team since 2005, she is Clayton & Foster Accountants Client Services Manager at the Coffs Harbour office. Not only does Jodi complete our vital reception duties she also takes care of many client services such as as online orders for new entity establishments, looking after corporate affairs (these are the company annual reviews), taking care of our trust account, receipting and so much more.

Jodi enjoys meeting, assisting and interacting with our clients. As well as supporting the wider team. She is a Justice of the Peace and also specialises in ASIC corporate compliance.

Outside of work Jodi enjoys spending time with family, long drives exploring new places, beach walks and swimming, pottering in the garden and curling up to watch a good movie.

Rebecca Brownlee

Rebecca is our Bellingen client manager, and has been with the firm since 2010. Born and raised in Bellingen, Rebecca moved to Sydney and the Gold Coast following high school, before coming home to Bello to raise her kids. She loves being able to work in town and enjoys getting to know the locals while working for a great leadership team.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, playing hockey and dabbling in movie trivia.

Emma Morvant

Emma join the team in November 2022, as our Coffs Harbour receptionist. She looks forward to coming to work each day and loves interacting with colleagues and meeting and helping our clients.

Outside of work she enjoys hanging out at the beach or creek with her family in the summer, and enjoys a fire and marshmallows with her two girls in the winter months. She also loves to spend time playing boardgames and watching movies as well as seeing the North Queensland Cowboys/ Queensland win the footy.
